HubCap

    HubCap is the Time code equalizer.  It allows you to capture the information from another database and change the times to match your program tape.

    HubCap is a product for use with an SQL Database used for automation of television station master control operations.  One of the down sides of automation is the need to prepare every program, whether on video tape or on video server by marking the in and out points of every segment.  In simple terms, it costs money to automate.

    If your group has several stations, they most likely air the same syndicated programming.  If all the stations are automated, they all prep the same show, which is time consuming and time is $$$$$$$.  For an independent station group, this could mean upwards of $100,000 per year, per Station, for prepping programs.

    Hubcap makes it possible for all stations to share the work of one, or to distribute the work equally and share the database information.

    The only operational difference between programs recorded in different stations, is the time code.
